BOAT OF GARTEN GOLF CLUB

The golf scene in the Highlands has changed significantly in the past year or so with the introduction of the Spey Valley course in Aviemore and the brand new Castle Stuart course near Nairn.

These are two rich additions making this wonderful part of the world all the more attractive. Boat of Garten Golf Club however will always be a firm favourite as it has been for over 100 years. With the Cairngorm Mountains towering to the south and the River Spey skirting its fringe, there are few more sylvan settings. Heather and silver birch trees define many holes along with swathes of heather and gorse bushes. And to top it all the periodic passing of the Strathspey Steam Railway to and from Aviemore makes for a delightful concurrence of events.
