Opened in 1994, National Golf Club presents itself as ‘First and Still the Best’ among the courses of the Turkish Riviera. And who are we to argue! On the global golf stage, National is still a whippersnapper but here in Belek this is the senior track and like many a mature matron, it doesn’t suffer fools gladly. From start to finish National is a tight, demanding test to the point of being petulant so don’t for one minute let your guard down.

The course was planned out by Northern Irish Ryder Cup player and and ofttimes controversial CBS Golf commentator David Feherty. There’s a maturity about the place that defies its age, the well-established forest and lakes making National seem centuries old. Through the years it has hosted several key events such as the Turkish Senior Open and welcomes the Ladies European Tour in May 2010.
