THE CASTLE COURSE
The Castle sways and swoops like a summer swallow (or ducks and dips a demented banshee - depending on how you look at it) covering every point of the compass.
Beautiful amorphous bunkers splatter against dunesides as if a sleepy sheep had just recently quit them. A Par 5 banks round and down to a wee burn albeit like it was just taken out of the wrapper. Another Par 4 carries you to the edge of the Kinkell Braes with a supreme view of the Auld Grey Toon.
It’s quite amazing how Kidd’s team have moved heaven and earth to create this golf course. There’s no let up, no flat stretches, no mediocre approaches. The effect is fabulous.
